Implementation & Rollout

Service introduction

SAP Implementation Services for Enterprise Transformation and Global Rollouts

An SAP implementation is rarely undone by configuration. Processes, data, integrations, roles, testing and user readiness have to arrive together before a system can carry live operations — that seam decides whether go-live is an event or an incident. VISCAP implements and rolls out SAP end to end: first-time builds, new modules on a landscape already running, and a common template deployed across sites, entities and countries — including programmes started elsewhere that need finishing. Across SAP Cloud ERP, S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, HCM and Payroll, Customer Experience, BTP and Analytics Cloud.

What VISCAP delivers

What VISCAP Delivers Through SAP Implementation and Rollout Services

01

Implementation planning and program mobilization

  • Recommended content:
  • Confirm implementation scope
  • Define business units, countries, modules, and processes
  • Establish program governance
  • Align workstreams, roles, and responsibilities
  • Confirm project milestones
  • Identify dependencies and delivery risks
  • Prepare the project backlog
  • Align business and technology teams

The programme is set up before it is started. We confirm the scope — which business units, countries, modules and processes are in, and which are explicitly not — then stand up governance, workstreams and milestones against it, with delivery risks named while there is still time to plan around them.

02

Fit-to-standard and business process design

  • Recommended content:
  • SAP best practices review
  • Fit-to-standard workshops
  • Business process validation
  • Process owner and key-user participation
  • Requirement and gap capture
  • Localization requirements
  • Configuration requirements
  • Extension and integration identification
  • Backlog prioritization

SAP Best Practices are demonstrated on a working system to the people who own the process, not described in a document. They confirm what fits as delivered, what needs configuration and what is a genuine gap — so every departure from standard is a decision on the record, not a discovery made during build.

03

Solution configuration, localization, and extension

  • Recommended content:
  • SAP solution configuration
  • Organizational structure setup
  • Business rule configuration
  • Workflow configuration
  • Country and statutory localization
  • Role and authorization coordination
  • Output and form requirements
  • In-app extensibility
  • Side-by-side extensions through SAP BTP
  • Configuration documentation

Organizational structure, business rules, workflows and statutory localization built to the design that was signed off. What genuinely cannot be met in standard goes to in-app extensibility or side-by-side on SAP BTP — deliberately, and documented — so the core stays clean and your upgrade path stays open.

04

Data migration, integration, and reporting enablement

  • Recommended content:
  • Data object identification
  • Data cleansing ownership
  • Data mapping
  • Migration templates
  • Data validation
  • Mock migration cycles
  • Reconciliation
  • SAP and non-SAP integrations
  • API and interface development
  • Reporting requirements
  • Dashboard and analytics enablement
  • Cutover data preparation

Data objects identified, mapped and put through mock migration cycles with reconciliation at each pass — and cleansing owned by name, on a date, because that is the dependency that quietly moves go-lives. Alongside it, the SAP and non-SAP interfaces and the reporting the business will open on day one.

05

Testing, training, and deployment readiness

  • Recommended content:
  • Unit testing
  • String testing
  • System integration testing
  • Regression testing
  • User acceptance testing
  • Payroll parallel testing, where applicable
  • Security and role testing
  • Defect management
  • Key-user training
  • End-user training
  • Cutover planning
  • Go-live readiness assessment

Unit, string, integration, regression and acceptance testing, with payroll parallel runs where they apply, all tracked through one defect process. Key users are trained first and end users through them, and go-live readiness is assessed against evidence — a cutover plan, a defect position — not optimism.

06

Go-live, hypercare, and rollout stabilization

  • Recommended content:
  • Production readiness
  • Final cutover
  • Go-live coordination
  • Business continuity planning
  • Hypercare
  • Incident prioritization
  • Defect resolution
  • User support
  • Performance monitoring
  • Handover to support or AMS
  • Lessons learned
  • Rollout template refinement

Production readiness, final cutover and go-live run to a rehearsed plan, with business continuity covered. Hypercare then puts a team behind the users while incidents are prioritized and defects resolved — and only once that curve flattens does the system hand over to support or AMS, lessons learned included.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything between an approved decision and a stable live system: programme mobilization and governance, fit-to-standard workshops and process design, configuration, localization and extensions, data migration, integration and reporting enablement, the full test cycle, key-user and end-user training, cutover, go-live and hypercare — through to handover into support or AMS. Scope is fixed at mobilization, so what each workstream owes and when is visible before build starts.

New SAP implementations, SAP Cloud ERP implementations, single-solution and single-module deployments, phased implementations, and additional module deployments onto a landscape already running. On the rollout side: multi-location, multi-company and multi-country rollouts, subsidiary rollouts, and global template design and deployment.

An implementation builds the solution — process design, configuration, data, integration and testing decided for the first time. A rollout deploys a solution that already works, usually a global template, into further entities, countries or sites: the design is largely settled, and the work moves to localization, statutory requirements, local data and integrations, user readiness and cutover per wave. Rollouts are faster, but only where the template holds; where it does not, the gap has to be handled as design, not as an exception.

SAP’s implementation methodology — Discover, Prepare, Explore, Realize, Deploy and Run — built around SAP Best Practices content and fit-to-standard workshops rather than a blank-sheet blueprint. Each phase carries defined deliverables and a quality gate, so scope, readiness and risk are assessed at the end of a phase instead of surfacing at cutover. VISCAP delivers to SAP Activate.

The SAP standard process is demonstrated on a working system to the people who own the process. They confirm what fits as delivered, what needs configuration and what is a genuine gap, with localization, reporting, integration and extension requirements captured as they surface. The output is a prioritized backlog and a written record of every place the design departs from standard, and why.

Yes. We design the global template and the deployment sequence, then run country waves against it — statutory and payroll localization, local reporting, in-country integrations, language and currency scope, local key-user enablement and per-wave cutover. Each wave feeds refinements back into the template, so later countries deploy against a better one than the first.

Hypercare: a dedicated team behind the users, with incident prioritization, defect resolution, user support and performance monitoring, while adoption and process stability are measured rather than assumed. As the incident curve flattens, the system moves through a planned handover to your support organization or to VISCAP AMS, carrying the enhancement backlog, documentation and lessons learned across rather than reconstructing them later.

It follows scope rather than size alone: the number of legal entities, countries and modules; how clean the data is; how many integrations and extensions are in play; and how much of the design can stay standard. A focused single-solution implementation on a clean scope runs in months; a multi-country programme across ERP, HR, payroll and analytics is planned in waves over a longer horizon. We state the phase plan, the gates and what each phase produces before mobilization, rather than quoting a duration in the abstract.

Yes. It starts with an assessment of where the programme actually stands — design and configuration decisions already taken, backlog and defect position, data and integration readiness, test coverage and governance — and an honest statement of what can be carried forward and what needs to be redone. From there it is a re-baselined plan with agreed scope, gates and a route to go-live, run under our governance.
