SAP Analytics Cloud is SAP’s cloud environment for business intelligence, enterprise planning and predictive insight. Dashboards, budgets, forecasts and scenario models live in the same tenant and read the same data, so a plan and the actuals it is measured against do not have to be reconciled between two tools.
Group Reporting is SAP’s consolidation capability inside SAP S/4HANA Finance. It performs legal consolidation — intercompany elimination, currency translation, group hierarchies and statement preparation — on the same financial data as the transactions, so a consolidated figure can be traced back to the line item that produced it.
A separate consolidation system consumes a periodic upload, which means every difference becomes a reconciliation between two sets of books. Group Reporting sits on the ERP data itself, so consolidation can run continuously through the period rather than only after the ledgers are closed, and the audit trail stays intact end to end.

SAP Datasphere provides semantic modelling, integration and business data products within SAP Business Data Cloud, and SAP HANA Cloud provides the multi-model database for transactional, analytical and AI workloads. SAP Analytics Cloud then reports and plans on top of that modelled layer rather than on raw extracts.
Yes. Third-party sources can be connected through the data foundation and modelled alongside SAP data, either virtualized in place or replicated. The point of doing it that way is that a KPI ends up defined once, in one semantic layer, regardless of which system the underlying data came from.

They answer different questions. Embedded analytics and analytical Fiori apps serve the operational user inside the process — current KPIs, drill-down to line items, no extraction. SAP Analytics Cloud serves the cross-system, cross-entity and forward-looking questions. Most organizations run both, with the same definitions behind each.
Joule lets users ask for a figure or a comparison in natural language, and predictive scenarios add forecasting and anomaly detection on top of the existing models. Both depend on the data being governed and described — the modelling work is what makes the AI answers trustworthy, not the other way round.
